Visit our park without barriers
As a disabled person you can spend a good time at Tierpark Gettorf. Since 2003 the zoo has been certified as suitable for disabled visitors. Indoor exhibits as well as the restaurant are accessible with wheelchairs.
Close to the entrance you will find marked disabled parking space.
At the cash desk 2 wheelchairs and walking frames can be borrowed free of charge. They can be reserved in advance under tel.-no. (+49)-4346/41600.
Sanitary rooms for disabled persons can be found next to the entrance of the tropical hall near the café-restaurant.
For blind and visually impaired persons Tierpark Gettorf offers a special round tour around the park with an audio system, touching stations and a scent garden. We look forward to giving you further information under tel.-no. (+49)-4346/416014.
If you want to visit the zoo with a trained guide-dog, please inform us by telephone beforehand.
Have a look at our zoo from another perspective while you walk around with one of our zoo-guides answering all your questions. We would be happy to offer you a guided tour at a reasonable price.
